If the particle size is larger than the gap between the rotor and the pump casing, and the hardness of the particle is lower than that of the pump parts, the particle will be squeezed into the pump cavity and discharged together with the medium, as long as the power of the motor is sufficient.

However, when the size of particles is relatively large and the hardness is high, these particles will leave wear marks between parts, and too many wear marks will accumulate, which will form wear and eventually lead to unstable flow and even shaft seal leakage. Too large particles will also prevent the operation of the pump, and even cause damage to the pump, such as broken teeth, broken shaft and other major problems.
