3 Description

3.1 Structure

3.2 Product description

The RICKMEIER UNI pump always pumps media in one flow direction. This feature makes UNI pumps suitable for all applications where reverse flow is not allowed. If the drive shaft rotates in the opposite direction, the pump will automatically switch while maintaining a single flow direction. Compared with other solutions, this ingenious design and the use of the least number of parts make it more advantageous. A major feature of RICKMEIER UNI pump is that its structure is very compact, so it can be installed in a narrow space (such as wind turbine room, marine gearbox or gas generator). Compared with other solutions, RICKMEIER UNI pump has small flow resistance even under the condition of high viscosity, that is, small internal pressure loss. RICKMEIER UNI pump has no wearing parts such as seals and valves, so the maintenance cost is very low. Even if it runs for a long time, it does not need maintenance.

4 Operating principle

UNI pump is an internal spraying gear pump, so it is a rotary displacement pump. When the drive gear shaft and the inner gear ring rotate, the medium accumulated in the clearance between the teeth will be transported from the suction side to the pressure side, where it will be pressed out to the pressure side through the mutual spraying gears. The suction side and pressure side are sealed by a sealing plate. The transmission of flowing medium causes pressure drop on the suction side of the gear pump. Due to the continuous engagement of the teeth, the flow medium compensates the pressure peak by constantly flowing in, thus forming a continuous conveying process. This process is performed in the same way for both gaseous and liquid media. Therefore, the gear pump can exhaust gas at the suction side by itself until the whole pipe is filled with liquid transmission medium.


1 Limitations of use The following describes the maximum operating conditions allowed for UNI pumps of standard specifications. If you need to exceed or fall below these numerical ranges, please contact RICKMEIER. As a precondition to ensure long service life and maximum operation reliability, the transmission medium shall be lubricated, as clean as possible and non corrosive, but in any case, there shall be no hard mixture. In addition, the following scope also applies:
