3、 Pump structure type

As mentioned earlier, there are roughly two structural types of single screw pump: direct connection type and bearing seat type. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. When selecting the model, we should consider various factors such as working pressure, installation space, budget, power and so on, and then decide which model is suitable for us. For example, the pump flow is not large, dozens of cubic meters per hour, the pressure is not high, and the budget is sufficient within 12 bar. At this time, either of the two structures can be used. However, if there is a requirement for the installation space of the pump, and the unit needs to be as short as possible, then the direct connection type is undoubtedly a priority. However, if the flow of the pump is relatively large, such as 100-200 m3/h, the required power of the proportioning reduction motor is also large, at this time, the bearing pedestal structure should be given priority. For the direct connected pump, when replacing the mechanical seal and other maintenance work, the relatively heavy workload of disassembling and assembling the large size reduction motor from the unit is relatively large. For the directly connected pump, although a bearing seat is saved and the cost of the pump body is saved, the shaft head and flange of the reducer are usually customized according to the size of the shaft head and the direct coupling frame of the pump, and the internal bearing of the reducer also needs to be strengthened. In general, it is a set of non-standard reducer, which must be purchased at the same time with the pump, losing the flexibility of self selection. Especially when users specify a brand of motor or provide a motor by themselves, the gearbox needs a standard IEC interface to adapt, which will increase some costs. Therefore, the key to solve the problem is to consider the structural type suitable for oneself by combining the advantages and disadvantages of all aspects.
