3、 Engine pump
Before starting the pump for the first time, it is necessary to ensure that the inlet pipeline has sufficient media, and the positive pressure feeding condition is relatively simple. Open the inlet and outlet valves, loosen the exhaust plug (if the pump is reserved), and wait until the media overflows. However, under the condition that the inlet pipeline of the pump has self-priming requirements, the medium needs to be filled through the filler hole reserved near the inlet pipeline of the pump, perhaps through the external hole of the inlet pipeline, or through the exhaust plug hole (if any). Before starting, manually turn the pump to check whether there is jamming and abnormal noise, which can also make the medium fill the pump cavity, seal cavity and other spaces. Remember to fill the pump with medium as much as possible to prevent potential dry work hazards.
Priming pump
Start the pump after recognizing the direction of rotation. If the pump fails to operate normally after passing through the inlet and outlet pipeline pressure gauge or other monitoring methods when starting, stop the pump immediately. Check the condition of the coupling, or turn the gear manually. After cleaning up the abnormal mechanical part, start again. 4、 Analysis of common problems
For some simple problems and how to clean them, you can see the operation manual of relevant products. Here are some problems that are difficult to find.
1. Pump inlet gasket leaks oil
A user once mistakenly rotated the pump when starting the machine. Although it was later changed to correct steering, it has now led to the breakdown of the imported gasket. Oil leakage will appear during subsequent startup. Especially in some IMO high-pressure pump products, a short time of rotation may lead to gasket failure. Therefore, it is necessary to acknowledge the wiring before starting up, and select inching method to confirm the steering when starting up.
2. High running noise
The loud noise may be caused by cavitation and other reasons, but when these common potential may still exist after cleaning, the user may think that the pump presents a problem. But at the moment, the problem may be the safety valve of the pump. IMO low-pressure products are all standard equipped with safety valves. When the outlet pipeline pressure reaches the set pressure of the valve, the valve will open for pressure relief. However, some users do not pay attention to the adjustment of the set value of the safety valve when starting up and debugging. Maybe someone unrelated to the operation changes the set value of the positive safety valve privately (unintentionally rotates the safety valve setting equipment), which may lead to the change of the set pressure of the valve. When the opening pressure happens to be close to the operating pressure of the system, the valve will show a tendency to open, in a critical state, At this time, some media will backflow through the safety valve, and then the noise will increase. At this moment, the problem can be eliminated by calibrating the set pressure of the safety valve from the beginning.
