Put into operation
6.2.1 Start
Properly install and connect the pump Properly install and connect the motor The motor has been accurately calibrated with the pump Tension free, hermetically connected All interfaces may be equipped with auxiliary operating systems Ready to install all safety devices and check their function Properly prepare, fill and empty the pump
instructions
Dry running will cause property damage! Ensure that the pump is filled as specified.
instructions
Control of suction flow will cause cavitation hazard! Fully open the valve on the suction side and do not use it to adjust the displacement. Do not open the pressure side valve beyond the operating time point.
instructions
Overheating will cause property damage! Do not operate the pump continuously towards the closed pressure side valve. Pay attention to the minimum delivery volume (→ order data page)
1. Open the valve on the suction side.
2. Close the valve on the pressure side.
3. Start the motor and pay attention to smooth operation.
4. As long as the motor reaches the rated speed, slowly open the valve at the pressure side until
Run time point reached.
5. For pumps conveying hot media, ensure that the temperature change is<5 K/min.
6. After the first pressure and working temperature load, check whether the pump is sealed.
7. When transporting hot medium, turn off the pump briefly at the operating temperature
Align the shaft joint and recalibrate the motor if necessary. (→ 5.8 Precision calibration coupling, page 20)
8. If any, adjust the slight leakage beside the packing sleeve.
6.2.2 Close
The pressure side valve has been closed (recommended)
1. Turn off the motor. If any, keep the following functions:
– For double-sided mechanical seal: lock the pressure until the pump has no pressure
– Supply cooling water until the operating temperature of the pump is below 100 ℃
2. Check all connecting bolts and tighten them if necessary.
Stop operation
The following measures shall be taken in case of operation interruption:
