In recent years, renewable fibers (such as viscose Viscose, Modal, Cylair Lyocell and other fibers) continue to emerge, which meets the needs of people in a timely manner, and also partially alleviates the problems of resource shortage and natural environment damage today. Because the regenerated cellulose fiber has two layers of functional advantages of natural cellulose fiber and synthetic fiber, it is widely used in textiles at an unprecedented application scale.

Production process of regenerated cellulose fiber

There are many kinds of regenerated fibers. In recent years, viscose, Modal, and Cellar are widely used.

1) Viscose

Viscose fiber is the full name of viscose fiber. The plant cellulose is alkalized into alkali cellulose, and then reacts with carbon disulfide to produce cellulose xanthate. The viscous solution obtained by dissolving it in dilute alkali solution is called viscose. The viscose fiber is formed after wet spinning and a series of processing procedures.

2) Modal

Modal is the trade name of high wet modulus viscose fiber. Its difference from ordinary viscose fiber is that Modal fiber improves the defects of low strength and low modulus of ordinary viscose fiber in the wet state, and also has high strength and modulus in the wet state, so it is often called high wet modulus viscose fiber.

Although the production process of Modal fiber produced by different companies is different, the production path of high wet modulus viscose fiber is basically selected, mainly including: alkalization reaction, aging reaction, yellowing reaction, dissolution, filtration, defoaming, ripening, wet spinning, processing after drafting, etc.

3) Cylair Lyocell

Lyocell fiber is a kind of man-made cellulose fiber, which is made from natural cellulose polymers. It was invented by British Kotaur Company and later produced by Swiss Lanjin Company. Its trade name is Tencel, and its homonym "Tiansi" is used in China.

The preparation method of Lyocell is to take N-methyloxymoline (NMMO) aqueous solution as the solvent, which can directly dissolve the cellulose pulp to obtain the spinning solution, and then use wet spinning or dry wet spinning method to form the fiber with a certain concentration of NMMO-H2O solution as the condensate, and then stretch, wash, oil A new type of cellulose fiber made by drying.

Challenges of regenerated cellulose career

The global production of regenerated cellulose fiber mainly concentrates in China, Japan, Europe, Thailand and other few countries and regions. Since the 20th century, many production lines of Modal and Lesser have been funded and built in China. At the beginning of career development, most of the production lines were introduced and learned from foreign plans, so many high energy consumption pumps were used.

More used in the past Screw pump For example, the use of pumps has brought a series of problems.

First of all, the mechanical structure of screw driving principle causes large motor power and high energy consumption required for driving, resulting in a lot of waste of energy, which leads to high operating costs.

Secondly, the screw pump often needs protection, and the investment in maintenance spare parts and labor also brings a lot of operation and maintenance costs. Furthermore, the delay caused by the maintenance strike and even the shortage of spare parts is a huge hidden cost.

Viking Solution

In view of this series of problems, VIKING Viking, through in-depth research on the operating conditions of pumps in the professional production process of regenerated cellulose fibers, has tailored the pump for the production of regenerated cellulose fibers according to the actual conditions of the production line of regenerated cellulose fibers in view of the characteristics of the harsh environmental conditions of the profession VIKING gear pump Solution.

1) Low operation energy consumption

VIKING Gear pump By virtue of its common structural planning, the scheme greatly reduces the required motor power from the mechanical principle, and then significantly reduces the operating energy consumption. The gear pump can operate at arbitrary points on the curve, and can operate efficiently in all speed ranges, which ensures that the flow is not restricted by pressure changes to a large extent.

 Viking

2) Low protection cost

Because the planned running speed of VIKING gear pump is relatively low (generally 17~1750 rpm), the service life of seals and bearings has been significantly extended. With the help of common planning, VIKING gear pump can complete the replacement of seals, end caps and gears without removing the pump from the pipeline, and then further reduce the cost of protection.

3) Rich experience

Since the first gear pump scheme was successfully put into use in 2009, hundreds of sets of gear pumps have been accumulated in the recycled cellulose fiber profession, and more than ten years of on-site practice experience has been accumulated. After going deep into the production line workshop to customize the scheme configuration, the use of VIKING gear pump has saved a lot of operation and protection costs for the regenerated cellulose fiber production line.

Because downtime is greatly reduced, it also brings about steady increase in productivity, which further reduces the overall cost of ownership (TCO).
