Generally, the overhaul of screw pump can be divided into minor overhaul and major overhaul. The inspection cycle of minor overhaul of screw pump is about 6 months, and that of major overhaul is 24 months.

Maintenance of screw pump

a. Minor repair items

(a) Check the leakage of the shaft seal, adjust the gap between the gland and the shaft, replace the packing or repair the mechanical seal.

(b) Check the bearing.

(c) Check the bolt fastening condition of each part.

(d) Eliminate the running, emitting, dropping and leaking of cooling water, sealing oil and smooth system during operation.

b. Overhaul items

(a) Including minor repair items.

(b) Collapse to check the wear condition of each component, measure and adjust the fit clearance of each component.

(c) Check the wear condition of the gear and adjust the clearance of the synchronous gear.

(d) Check the straightness and wear of the screw.

(e) Check the wear condition of the inner and outer surfaces of the pump body.

(f) Calibrate the pressure gauge and safety valve.

Preparation before maintenance of screw pump

The following preparations shall be made before the maintenance of the screw pump.

① Grasp the operation condition and prepare necessary drawings and data.

② Prepare all maintenance tools, measuring tools, accessories and data.

③ Cut off the power supply and connect the equipment with the system, cool, purge and replace the internal medium, and meet the safety and maintenance conditions.

Disassembly and inspection of screw pump

The following procedure shall be followed when disassembling the screw pump.

① Check the motor power supply; The power supply shall be disconnected and the power switch shall be locked. Check the sealing condition of the access valve. If not, close it tightly.

② Loosen the connecting bolts of the coupling between the motor and the pump shaft, and remove the coupling.

③ Disassemble and check the synchronous gear.

About single screw pump or Three screw pump Dismantle the pump rear end cover and check the gasket, thrust gasket, bearing and axial positioning plug.

For twin screw pump, remove the rear end cover of the pump and check the bearing and seal.

④ Disassemble the front end cover and check the driving and driven screw stems and seals.

⑤ If necessary, replace the gasket between the end cover and the pump body.
