ALLWEILER Centrifugal pump refers to the pump that transports liquid by centrifugal force when the impeller rotates. Centrifugal pumps can be widely used in power, metallurgy, coal, building materials and other industries to transport slurry containing solid particles. Such as hydraulic ash removal in thermal power plant, coal slurry transportation in metallurgical concentrator, coal slurry and heavy medium transportation in coal washing plant, etc. When the centrifugal pump is operating, the pump needs to be placed on the ground, and the suction pipe needs to be put into the water, and the pump needs to be started.
Basic components of centrifugal pump
Centrifugal pump consists of impeller, pump body, pump shaft, bearing, seal ring and stuffing box.
1. Impeller is the core part of centrifugal pump. It has high speed and large output. The blades on the impeller play a major role. It is necessary to conduct static balance test before assembling the impeller. The inner and outer surfaces of the impeller shall be lubricated to reduce the loss of water flow.
2. The pump body, also called pump casing, is the main body of the pump. It has the effect of supporting and fixing, and is connected with the bracket of the device bearing.
3. The effect of the pump shaft is to connect with the motor through the coupling, and transmit the torque of the motor to the impeller, which is the main part to transmit mechanical energy.
4. The sliding bearing uses transparent oil as lubricant, which is generally filled to the oil level line.
5. The seal ring is also called leakage reducing ring.
6. The stuffing box is composed of packing, water seal ring, packing bucket, packing gland and water seal pipe. The effect is to close the gap between the pump housing and the pump shaft, prevent the water in the pump from flowing outward, and prevent external air from entering the pump.
